Groundrush is the free phone companion for the FlySight 2 GPS logger. Set up your ENGO 3 heads-up display, pull tracks off the logger over Bluetooth and debrief the jump — speeds, glide ratio, the route over a satellite map — right at the dropzone, between jumps. The HUD firmware is installed once, from a computer over USB; everything after that happens on the phone.
Free on the App Store and on Google Play, and it updates itself. No FlySight yet? Download a sample jump and import it — the analysis needs no hardware.

THE iOS APP IS ON THE APP STORE AND THE ANDROID APP IS ON GOOGLE PLAY. CONNECTING TO A FLYSIGHT, PULLING TRACKS OFF THE DEVICE AND UPDATING ITS FIRMWARE OVER BLUETOOTH ARE CONFIRMED ON REAL HARDWARE. SO IS THE ENGO 3 HUD — A LAYOUT ARRANGED FROM THE PHONE HAS BEEN FLOWN. WHAT STILL HAS NO HARDWARE RUN BEHIND IT IS NAMED ON THE ROADMAP RATHER THAN HIDDEN.

FAQ
- What do I need to use Groundrush?
- A FlySight 2 GPS logger and a phone. For the HUD features, ENGO 3 glasses with the ActiveLook firmware. Right now the app also works with tracks already on your phone.
- Does the first HUD install need a computer?
- Yes, once. The ENGO HUD firmware goes onto the FlySight 2 from a computer over USB; the browser flasher on this site needs Chrome or Edge. Everything after that — choosing what the glasses show, binding your pair, later firmware updates — happens on the phone.
- Can I try Groundrush without a FlySight?
- Yes. Import any FlySight .csv or .gpx you already have, or the sample jump from this site, and the track library, jump analysis and Map View work with no logger connected.
- Which platforms are supported?
- iPhone and Android. The iOS app is on the App Store and the Android app is on Google Play, both free. The app is built with Flutter, so both share the same codebase.
- What does it cost?
- Groundrush is free. Everything the app does today — track library, jump analysis, the route on a map, winds aloft, HUD setup and firmware updates — stays free. Some advanced analysis may become a paid add-on later; nothing you can do today will move behind a paywall.
- Does it work offline?
- The track library and analysis work fully offline. Winds-aloft data needs a connection, and gets cached for the day; so does the map under the route.
- What track formats can I import?
- .csv (FlySight format) and .gpx. Import them from any app or cloud storage, browse by day, export and share.
- What is the ENGO firmware?
- A custom FlySight 2 firmware with first-class ENGO 3 / ActiveLook HUD support — glide ratio and speeds right in your goggles. Groundrush is its companion app.
